We had a wonderful time participating in the Read-a-thon on Wednesday. Our class rotated to tons of fun reading stations throughout the day including: mystery readers, e-reading, Buffalo Grove High School buddies, bookmark making, classroom swap, and an all school assembly.

Our class is really enjoying reading Ramona Quimby, Age 8 by Beverly Cleary. In honor of Mr. Quimby we tried our hand at sketching our foot during reading today. We also tried planning a meal to help Beezus and Ramona the next time they have to cook the family meal. The third graders enjoyed participating in a probability experiment in math. They had to guess how many of which color blocks were in a bag after collecting data. They also had to represent the chances of choosing a block with a fraction. |
