On Friday afternoon we had the pleasure of attending Greenbrier's annual multicultural fair. What a wonderful event that showcases the many cultures of our gators.

On Tuesday, we had the opportunity to meet children's author, Lowey Bundy Sichol (her last name rhymes with pickle). She is the author of From an Idea to…, the world’s first business biographies for kids. Her message to us was...kids can change the world through entrepreneurship. Can't wait to read one of her books! These kiddos have worked so hard on fraction concepts the past few weeks. They are able to read, write, compare, make equivalent fractions....and even reduce them! Boy, the fourth grade teachers are going to be impressed! Our class enjoyed painting kindness rocks and placing them in special spots around the school. We hope these positive messages can brighten someone's day! After learning that a dinosaur's footprints can reveal how fast it was running. The third grade classes worked in cooperative groups to see if they could outrun a dinosaur. Amazingly...some of them could! :) Many thanks to our parent volunteers for teaching us about intellectual differences during Everybody Counts week. |
